The Mythical Card Counter

Devised by James P. Riser

Some Background Info:

There has been some concern and discussion about a card effect in which the number of cards above a selected card is "estimated" in order to complete the effect.

My new Mythical Card Counter completely does away with all guess work and allows the performer 100% accuracy in stating the correct number of cards down from the top that the selected card will be found.

The apparatus is installed so that the digital window is at the side of the deck. It may be used on the performer's deck or on a freely borrowed deck of cards. Or the performer may elect to switch decks using the Jacob Culbertson move (indetectable). The switch of decks is not required, though.

This is a view of the complete window as it is being calibrated to the deck in use:

The number shown is the number of cards from the top.

Once calibrated, the actual LCD window is removed from the master unit and merely "stuck" onto the side of the deck where it will count the required cards automatically and without error. The "stickum" substance is guaranteed to work for 20 years.

Here is a view of this LCD window in operation on a deck of Riveria cards.

The selected card is 12 down from the top. Notice...no edge marking required.

People have asked me why the Mythical Card Counter must be calibrated.

I believe this image will illustrate why.

Without calibration, the performer will be back in the guessing game and subject to failure and ridicule during a performance.

This exclusive apparatus is "solar powered" and will never require new batteries.

Priced to reflect the value of the product to the professional performer at only. $499.99 + $5.50 shipping.
