Note: Cup design and web page copyright 2002 by James P. Riser

Having handled and worked with these new cups, I feel that they will set a new standard in cup design. I like them more each time I hold them in my hand and feel the "heft". Most cups that you will find are way too tall for their task. My new design gets away from this unnecessary bulk. In addition, I have spun these jumbo cups to nest looser than my mini-cups. This is because when in action, it is easier to handle large cups which have a little slop in the nest. This slight bit of looseness allows the cups to be quickly stacked and with much less noise. Little details like this help to make a set of cups very "user friendly". The cups are hand spun from extremely heavy copper for added durability as needed by street workers and stage performers. Yet, these cups are also perfect for the close-up performer.

The Riser Jumbo Cups spinning being started with a heavy duty roller tool.

The Riser Jumbo Cups will be produced in even more limited numbers than my Riser Mini-Cups - copper this thick is not easy to spin!

I am not joking when I state that there will not be many sets made. There will only be a total of no more than 12 sets per year.

Shown here is a set of my Riser Jumbo Cups.

The cups were designed to maximize the load while minimizing the cup size.

The space between the nested cups (which I term the "attic") will hold three 1 1/4" diameter balls - as shown.

To keep the cup size to a minimum, they just barely hold a baseball for final loads.
