A New Style of Mini-Chop Cup

The Riser Mini-Goblet Chop Cup

I have been experimenting with creating a very ordinary looking chop cup for performers who just seem to think they need to justify everything they use - or even pass things for examination. Shown here are several views of a prototype chop cup in aluminum. This cup does not have the normal magnet in the base. Instead the cup is made by spinning two cups - one on top of the other. This makes a double layered cup. Between the two layers is spun in a thin steel disc. The cup looks and feels ordinary. The only gimmick is in the balls. Presented for your viewing pleasure and to get magicians thinking about other ways to do things. When I start producing these cups, the sizes will be for final loads of a golf ball, a tennis ball, and a base ball.
